I visited the Smithy Street School for my first author visit in March. I was invited for story time to read my picture book, Praxx and the Ringing Robot, to four classes from Year 1 and Year 2. I really enjoyed my first school visit as an author. The children asked some fantastic questions about the story and also about writing in general. Each class had a fantastic Reading Corner with lots of books in for the children to read.

Year 2 had some great feedback from the day. Here are some of their comments below...

"I found out that Paul had someone to help him with the pictures called an illustrator."

During my visit, I was invited to make some artwork to add to the school mural, which was going to be displayed at the school fair.

I visited again in April for the event. It was great to see my artwork included with everyone elses.

The school fair was a fantastic event. The sun was shining and lots of people attended from the local community, including the fire brigade who brought along their very loud fire engine! It was a really warm day and everyone had a great time.
